Food Technology

Key Stage 3

Each year group spends a block period of time completing tasks which encompass; Electronics, Food Technology, Resistant Materials, Structures, Robotics and Mechanisms.  ICT is used as a teaching and administrative tool; CAD and CAM are an integral part of the department. Students are required to bring ingredients for each Food Technology practical lesson. 

Key Stage 4

GCSE Food and Nutrition is a popular course and offers a varied amount of practical work which is supported by theory work.  

Facilities

The practical room is spacious and purpose built. A fully equipped IT room is available in the Design Block. 

Performance

Exam results are consistently above local and National levels.
