On Monday 31st October 2016 Fine Art students spent their triple Art Lesson in the grounds of Bodfach Hall amidst the stunning beauty of Autumn light and colour. The majority of the group made a series of quick watercolour studies in their sketch books, recording colours, rhythms and tone using layers of wash. Two students interested in 3D Design explored the concept of creating environmental art from fallen leaves, sticks and twigs. Both sets of students made quick responses to space, light and shape by taking lots of creative photographs that explored a variety of angles, close-ups and looking through things. Photography and Textiles students had similar experiences over the following two days. The Art Department teachers would like to thank Maggie and Simon Baynes for once again accommodating the students so well with facilities and allowing such a delightful opportunity and experience to happen in their exquisite home grounds; an opportunity that was embraced and thoroughly enjoyed by the 6th Form students.
